one of my favorite ways of cultivating kinship with plants i work with is by spending time with them in artistic creation. i sit with them in deep observation and receptivity. i first begin by observing all of the details of their physiology, recording every leaf, petal, shoot. every sway and curve of their dance toward the heavens. i engage all of my senses, my intuition, my heart, to capture their vibrational essence, their medicine, their form of communicating with the world. below is a series of pen and ink drawings birthed from this humble practice of deepening relationships with my plant kin.
